August is now a memory and with the arrival of September, pepper cultivation returns to the fore. In protected cultivation, in the context of the Mediterranean area, the cultivation of peppers stands out for its yields and sustainability. Consequently, using a performer fertilizer means the costs of managing the crop with an assured final result and amortization.
This is why, for the cultivation of pepper, the Mugavero biostimulants line becomes fundamental, which includes a range of highly professional products that can also be used in organic farming. In conditions of water stress, the crop is more subject to apical rot: calcium, an important component for the structure of the cell walls, is not translocated in these stress conditions and the plant can also show internal chlorosis and necrosis of the leaf margin in correspondence of the vegetative apexes, which can even dry up. In fact, calcium directly affects the salt balance in plant cells and potassium is activated to regulate the opening and closing of the stomata and to allow the movement of water in the plant.
Mugavero’s solutions for pepper cultivation
Going into the merits of the solutions from Mugavero for the cultivation of peppers, from the fruit set phase to the pre-harvest phase, foliar applications of Tonical are suggested, a fluid formulation containing calcium complex with amino acids and peptides more easily conveyed inside the cell membrane. As, in the organic component Tonical also has extracts of brown algae (Ecklonia maxima) very rich in phytohormones, in particular auxins, obtained by cold extraction.
On the other hand, to improve the colour of the peponide and support the plant during production, we recommend the application of Upper Grow, a liquid biostimulant rich in potassium and organic nitrogen indicator to also increase consistency and shelf-life. Applicable both foliar and in both fertigation; In the second case, Upper Grow contributes to improving the physicochemical properties of the soil by increasing the nutrient availability in the circulating solution and improving the exchange capacity of the soil system.
